§ 13-62. Unsanitary conditions prohibited; abatement.

  • If any person or landowner shall allow the premises he owns or occupies to become unclean and unsanitary by the accumulation of stagnant water, rubbish, garbage or other debris, the city manager or his designee shall give such person and the landowner notice to remove such conditions. After the date of such notice, such landowner shall have a period of ten (10) days in which to remove such conditions. If he shall fail or refuse to clean up his premises within such period, the city shall have the right, through any of its agencies or departments, to clean up such premises for such owner. The expenses of the city for all work and labor shall constitute a lien in favor of the city against such land.
