§ 15-1. Definitions.

The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

Solid waste shall mean all animal and vegetable putrescible matter, such as waste material and refuse from kitchens, residences, grocery stores, butcher shops, restaurants, cafes, drugstores, hotels, roominghouses and boardinghouses, and other deleterious substances, not including dirt, concrete or rocks.

Trash shall mean rubbish, such as ashes, tin cans, paper bags, boxes, glass, grass, shrubs, yard cleanings, grass clippings, leaves and tree trimmings, not including dirt, concrete or rocks.
