The mayor may appoint, subject to confirmation by the city commission, the Ennis Tourism
Commission which shall consist of seven (7) members, each member being a resident
of the City of Ennis, Texas. Four (4) members of the first commission shall be appointed
for a term of two (2) years and three (3) shall be appointed for a term of one year,
and service shall be without pay. Thereafter, members shall be appointed for a term
of two (2) years. Any vacancy shall be immediately filled for the unexpired term.
A chairman shall be elected from among the seven (7) appointive members to serve for
a term of one (1) year.
