§ 2-198. Powers and duties.

The Ennis Human Relations Advisory Committee shall promote harmony and understanding among all citizens of the community, encourage fulfillment of the responsibilities and realization of the opportunities of citizenship and have the following powers and duties:

(1)

Assess and evaluate human resources and relations of the community.

(2)

Monitor local, regional, state and national activities, programs and policies to determine possible activities, programs, policies and opportunities to fully develop the human resources within the community, improve human relations, and encourage fulfillment of the responsibilities and realization of the opportunities of citizenship.

(3)

Make recommendations to the city commission regarding activities, policies and programs that promote harmony and understanding among all citizens of the community and develop human resources.
